The LPG consumption in this field is growing rapidly, mainly due to three primary characteristics that facilitate the spread: it is safe, cheap and clean (not subject to the known limitations of traffic).

The LPG fueled engine (the conversion from gasoline engine is easy), apart from the low pollutant emissions and lower noise levels than, for example, the diesel engine lasts longer than other traditional fuels and it is also more efficient due to the higher octane compared to gasoline (higher volumetric compression ratios) and all this with no additives.
Besides, the LPG use makes the catalytic converters more efficient and increases durability.
Finally, storage and transport are through containers (tanks) at low pressure and the equipment is simple and inexpensive.
2400 are the filling stations in Italy.
New developments are expected in the distribution of LPG vehicles in the private sector and especially in the public sector, e. g. taxi, fleet management, government cars, urban bus, means for collecting waste.

Sports cars, racing at full speed, but with LPG

The LPG Nissan 350Z, the first liquid gas car that runs gas in an Italian category Italian (Challenger Astra).
The goal of this initiative is to demonstrate the equivalence of performance between a car fueled with gas and a car fueled with petrol and that the components used are able to withstand the toughest conditions such as those of a sporting competition, combined with safety and respecting the environment.
